SAN ROMANO
Nebbiolo Langhe DOC.
Fontanafredda, Italy 🇮🇹
FONTANAFREDDA
This winery was founded in 1858 as a love story between the King of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele II, and Rosa Vercellana. They have always been a community united around respect for the land, and today they have 120 certified ORGANIC hectares that frame the first Storytelling Village in Italy.
They have 2,500,000 bottles of Barolo in refinement, more than 5,000,000 kg of pressed grapes per year and are present in 61 countries around the world.

PROJECT
Fontanafredda needed to launch a new Nebbiolo Langhe wine with a controlled designation of origin, under the name of SAN ROMANO, a Christian deacon and martyr from Syria, who should be present and be the protagonist on the label. Nature and the land, so fundamental in the process of these wines, also had to be present.
